She sings that she's "not a girl not yet a woman", but for someone who claims to be teetering on the borders of adulthood, Britney Spears is doing pretty darn well- three multi-million-selling albums. Her own move, her own doll, and abs to die for. How exactly is it like to be the reigning princess of pop?

Q: What's your favorite all-time moment during your career?

Britney: That's a good question. Probably the MTV Europe awards. That was a very fun moment for me. I got to perform and it was my first time ever to win awards, so that was very cool.

Q: What's your usual clothes style?

Britney: Really, whatever I'm in the mood for. Most of the time it's just a pair of jeans and some boots and a cute tank top. But if I'm going to a nice event or something, I like Dolce and Gabanna, and I like this girl called Patricia Field- she dose a lot of my clothes. Actually, she also dose a lot of stuff for sex and the city, too. I like a lot of different, trendy things when I go out at night.

Q: How much of what you wear is your own style and how much is the stylist's?

Britney: Oh, my stylists- they're so wonderful. They know exactly what I like I use the same stylists all the time and they know what I like

Q: Is there any outfit you look back on in horror?

Britney: Oh, yea, lots of times. Actually, I was walking through this store the other day and I saw this magazine and I was like, "Oh my God!". It was my first tour and I had these white spandex pants and this pink top, and I was like, "Why was I wearing that?". And I got to Felicia and I was like, " Why did you let me wear that? You're crazy!" and my hair was all crimpled. I looked like a retard. I definitely have those moments. Definitely have those moments. Definitely.

Q: How do you keep in shape?

Britney: Really, when I'm just really touring, the dancing really keeps me in shape. But since I've been recording. I work out for an hour once a day. I have more energy if I do that. I feel better throughout the day.

Q: So is working out something you enjoy rather than see as a necessity?

Britney: Oh, definitely. I love making out, I really do. Actually when I was younger, maybe 12 years old, I ran the aerobics class in my dad's gym. So I think it's fun, I love it. I'm a Sagittarius, so I'm very active.

Q: Do you have any hang-ups about your body?

Britney: I wont wear anything that makes my but looks really big.

Q: So are there certain clothes that you avoid?

Britney: Yea, I always like low-rise pants because they're more flattering to your legs. Things that go high on your waist make you hips looks so bad.

Q: Have you got a new tattoo?

Britney: Yes, I do. How did you know that? I have, like a little flower right here (her right hip). It's a daisy and it has a Chinese symbol for "mysterious" next to it.

Q: Why did you decide to have that done?

Britney: I don't know. I was doing my movie and I had this major urge. One of my friends, Tarin, in the movie, she had a tattoo right there and I was like, "Oh, that looks so cute". And like, all my tattoos you can't really see. Like, one on my back is always covered up, so I wanted something I could see. So I had this urge and had it done.

Q: Do you think you're a good role model for girls?

Britney: I don't label my self like that, as a role model, I just try to you know. I'm a human just like everybody else and I make mistakes.

Q: Do you think you're a role model in that you're curvy and there are a lot of other singers who looks unnaturally thin?

Britney: A girl should know that it's not attractive at all to be overly overweight or overly skinny. Just take care of your self and don't over-eat and don't under-eat. Just do what's healthy for your body. That's all you can do.

Q: How do you take care of your self when it comes to taking vitamins, etc.?

Britney: Well, I just don't over-eat, and once you get used to eating salads and things like that, you start having an acquired taste for it. I just try to eat what's good for me. For what I do, I have to have so much energy- what with the shows and touring and dance classes. I have more energy when I do eat healthy and I can't eat, like, a burger. Well, sometimes. There's always a time and place for a Big Mac, But most of the time, I try to do everything I'm supposed to.

Q: Have you got any rules that govern how you live your life?

Britney: Really, just be true to yourself and never doubt yourself and whatever you believe in. Live by that day by day. And just try to be the best person you can be.

Q: Do you ever worry about all the media attention you get?

Britney: I try not to pay too much attention to it.

Q: Do you ever worry about being criticized?

Britney: You know, we're all criticized all of the time, so it's like you can never get away from that. People are always going to criticize you no matter what you do. People are always going to have an opinion. So, you just try to cut yourself off from that and just do what makes you happy and the end of the day.

Q: Do you still get compared to Christina Aguilera a lot?

Britney: No, not really. Honestly, I think it's funny the way people compare us all the time because we are blonde or whatever. But we are all very different in our own ways. With our music, we all have our own distinct sound. I think it's just because we're all young and people go ahead and compare us to each other. But it's very flattering if people compare me to her.

Q: Is Jamie Lynn (Britney's Sister) going to be the new Britney?

Britney: You know what? She definitely has the talent to do this, but I want her to be a kid and experience kid things now. but in the future, if she still has love for that, then definitely go for it. But just watch out when she comes because she is going to take over the world. She is Miss Thing and she knows it, so it's kinda scary

Q: Dose she already performs a lot?

Britney: Yeah, she sings all the time. Like we had this executive people over to the house the other day from the record label and we were having dinner, and she brings them all into the bathroom and sings for them. I was like "Jamie Lynn!" I would never do that when I was young. I mean, I was confident, but never that confident. She definitely loves the spotlight.

Q: Janet Jackson said in a recent interview that she was worried about you doing so much so young. How do you feel about that?

Britney: Um, well maybe because of her experiences she had when she was young and she started to so young, but I think with me, I make sure I have time off. Like, a lot time off at the beginning it was kind of crazy but I was all adrenalin because I was so exited to be there. But then there comes a time and place where you're like, " Okay, I am gonna be more in control of what I do and I'm doing to be of this time, right here", so you can preserve your soul. I think with my family
