This edition of T & T is inspired by the latest mail recieved from Tomis of the Anchorage Underground T.V. Show. According to Mr. Neeson, the AUTV Show has had to move it's "studio" location due to reasons that weren't clearly expressed by the owner of the place where he used to tape the show. I understand that the owner of the house has the right to do what they want, and make the rules as to what can and can not take place in their own residence. In the mail Tomis refers to a "They" that seems to want to keep this scene grounded. I know exactly what he means. It's been happening for many years. This uncontrollable force of impending doom that seems to loom over this region of the U.S. has been compared to by myself as being like the "Nothing" in the "Never Ending Story". I'm going to compare it to another movie now that seems to be pertinent to this situation.
Has anyone out there ever seen a movie called "They Live"? It's a John Carpenter movie that stars "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (yes the old wrestler). Great fuckin' movie. A little low budget and cheesy, but it makes you think! In the movie there is this guy that is down on his luck. A homeless drifter in search of honest work. He drifts into a community of others in a similar situation to his own that have all been forced out of normal society due to circumstances beyond their control. A group of the community sits around a television set at night to watch their favorite programming. The signal is interupted by a group of individuals that seek to open the eyes of the community to the underlying force that controls everything. The guy on the T.V. talks about a "They" that is directing world events right under the noses of the general populous. "Rowdy" notices that there are people going in and out of a church building at all hours of the night and decides to find out what the hell is going on. He finds these boxes of sunglasses and puts on a pair to discover that the glasses help to see things that aren't visible to the naked eye. He discovers that in every magazine, newspaper, and in the content of every billboard is a hidden message. "Obey, marry and reproduce, conform" are all common words and phrases that make up the underlying content of such advertisments and what not. He even finds that by looking at the country's currency it isn't currency at all. Just a piece of paper that reads "This is your God". Scarry shit huh? When he looks at the rich and powerful, i.e. newscasters, government officials, and just your average wealthy citizen, that they are not human at all. "They" are aliens that are in control of it all. These aliens pull the wool over the humans eyes on a daily basis and keep them from finding out about their secret plot to dominate and control the Earth. A little far fetched with the aliens, but otherwise it fuckin' makes you think about the society we live in.
Similar ideas with what happens in this hell hole called Alaska. It seems that the youth of the community are constantly being oppressed. Even if something positive pops up for us to do, it seems that it is soon taken away by........ "Them". Be it the municipality, the police, or religious fuckers that seem to have a problem with the youth having something creative and positive to do. Gee..... I wonder why so many kids do drugs, drink, and break shit in this fuckin' place........ could it be that maybe we don't have anything fun to do? Could it be that everytime we find a positive way to spend our time it is taken away or simply just disappears? Hmmm......... FUCKIN' A. So maybe it seems like I'm a little pissed off.......... GOD DAMN RIGHT I AM!!!!! Have you been to a show in Anchorage or in the Valley? If you have you would know that people are just there to have a good time and listen to some good music. No one gets hurt, no one dies, no one is destroying property. There are a few occassions where people get a bloody nose or something, but they will fuckin' deal with it and come back to rock once more. We just need something to do in a state that doesn't offer much for the youth. We could all go hunting or fishing or something, but not everyone likes to do that. Just a little note to those in power that don't think it's a good idea to have a lot of young people all together at the same time in the same place to have the same kind of fun...... FUCK OFF!!!!........ When we reach your age don't expect us to change your fuckin' diapers....... we'll just let you sit in your shit for weeks on end. We'll provide you with an iv just to keep you alive to make your miserable old life that much more unbearable. We will not be silenced, we will not lay down and take it. We will rise and conquer and overthrow everything you've labored so hard to sustain just to show you that you done fucked up!!! Mark my words, the day will come when you're kissing our ass to help you so that you don't live such a mundane existence in your last days. Just to have us spit in your fuckin' face and tell you that it's gonna be how we say from now on.
Just like in the movie....... we will expose you in the end. Even though we will probably die trying......... but the youth behind us will know what to watch for, and they will be the ones that rebuild the structure to include EVERYONE!!! (At least we hope so anyway) Just because you are rich and powerful and have a warped sense of morals based on your false religions and policies, doesn't make us the enemy. I think "They" are just afraid that we will know how to do it better. So in conclusion........ again it comes down to UNITY. C'mon young people band together for a common good and let's show these old people that we have a voice that needs to be heard. We will survive. We will overcome!!!!!
