Meaning: This poem is talking about small child who is hungry and is made to grind rice, instead he gazes on the moolight. It is supported here "instead gazes on the moonlight". This poem also says that he is hungry very clearly at the title and the first line of the poem when it says "A Small Hungry Child".

Opinion: I liked this poem. It was quite easy to analyze. I liked this poem because it was quite short and no accented words so its easy for me to analyze and understand.
