Type of Poem: Free verse

Structure: ABB ACC ADD

Poetic Devices: Rhyme, stanza,

Meaning: I think the poet wrote this poem trying to say that some things belong to him and he doesn't want others to touch it. This is supported with already the title "This is My Rock". This poem uses rhyme and only stanza to change the mood of this poem. This poem at the end says "this is my place" emphasizing that it belongs to the poet.

Opinion: I really liked this poem. I liked its meaning saying that somethings belong to you and that if you don't want other people to touch it, they shouldn't touch it. This poem has a quite nice meaning. Its like as though claiming its own territory. A supporting quote for this is "this is my place".
