Parable of Good Samaritan
from the Holy Bible

Information about poet: This poem is from the bible. The bible has been written a long time ago and does not have 1 author. This poem is directly from the bible. So there isn't much information about this.

Type of Poem: Narrative

Structure: 8 stanza, no rhyme scheme

Meaning: This poem is about Jesus telling a story about him seeing a man getting wounded and stole from, and everyone just walked by and looked at him. Only one, a man from samaritan would come and help him up. The man bound up his wounds, found him a inn, and took care of him. At the end Jesus asks which one do you think is a neighbour? Then Jesus says do like wise.

Poetic Devices: Stanza

Opinion: My response to this poem is that when i think this poem the main point is the moral. The moral is if you see someone in need, help them. I think that is what the poem is trying to stress. I didn't really like or hate this poem. To me this is just another plain poem. This poem overall didn't really appeal to me.
