Summer Reading Journal

Cover - You need to draw and color an importannt scene from the story. Include your name, the dates the book was read, the title, author, and copyright date.

 

Journal Entry #1 - Who are the main characters in this story? What other characters are important to the story?  List them, and explain how each is important to the story's development.  Use examples from the story in your explanation.

 

Journal Entry #2 - What problem did the main character face?  What steps did he/she take to solve this problem?

 

Journal Entry #3 - What is the setting of this story?  Tell about when, where, and over what period of time, (ex. the summer, a school year, several months, etc.), the story takes place.

 

Journal Entry #4 - What did you like about this story?  Explain this in several sentences, and be specific.

 

Journal Entry #5 - What did you dislike about this story?  explain this in several sentences, and be specific.
