        Essay

In the War for Independence, the British army had many advantages that the Continental army did not have.  In a one-paragraph essay, contrast the British army with the Continental army.  {Here are some facts to help you}

        The British army was made up of professional soldiers who had the best training, most experienced officers, and the newest weapons.  It was a large army, with about 50,000 soldiers.  The Continental army, on the other hand, usually had only about 10,000 soldiers at any one time.  The Continental army had never fought together before.  Many had no uniforms, and they used whatever weapons they had on hand.
