  • Use exponential notation to represent powers of 10.

 

Developing

  • Know extended multiplication facts.

For example:

3 * 6= 18 

3 * 60 = 180

3*600 = 1800                

  • Make magnitude estimates for products of multidigit numbers.
  • Solve multidigit multiplication problems (1 and 2-digit)
  • Round whole numbers to a given place.
  • Read and write numbers billions; names the value of digits in numerals to billions.

 

Secure

  • Compare large numbers.
  • Estimate sums.
