         For example: 20 = 12 + x solution: 8

  • Understand the placement and function of parentheses in number sentences.

             For example: 32 - (15 + 2) =15

  • Determine whether number sentences are true or false.
  • Use a map scale to determine distances.
  • Know division facts.
 
Developing/Secure
  • Solve addition and subtraction number stories.
  • Know multiplication facts.
Secure
  • Understand the relationship between multiplication and division.

You may wish to review these learning goals with your child using the Student Reference Book (SRB).
