Reading and Writing
A Word a Day - 5 days each week we will study a
different word. We will have an assessment on the words at the end of the word
study. Click on the book for a list of our words.
| This week we will continue our guided reading
of our books: Skinnybones, Beetles, Lightly Toasted, and The
Hot and Cold Summer.
For our homework we will be reading the nonfiction mini book Discovery in the Americas?. The students will have questions to answer nightly. Books need to return to school each day, as we will be discussing what was read. If you get a chance, listen to your child read and discuss the story with them.

continue our exploration of the Ideas trait, as well as work on some
selected skills.
