Biography Report

 

ü      Cover – Cut at least 5 words from newspapers, magazines, etc. that you feel represent the subject of your biography. Paste these words on the cover of your report, surrounding the name of this person. In the lower right corner, write your name, grade 5, and the date.

ü      Why is this person famous? Write a sentence or two to explain.

ü      Choose 3 of the words from the cover and tell, using story evidence, how each word fits the person. Give an example from the biography of how the person illustrated, (showed), each word.

ü      Name three experiences you think helped make this person famous. Describe 3 events from your subject’s life that you think helped make him or her great. Use evidence from the text to explain why you think each experience was instrumental, (or important).

ü      What part of your subject’s life did you admire most? Why? In a paragraph, describe what part of your subject’s life you admire most and why. Use evidence from the text to support your choice, and explain your reason fully.

ü   Timeline – Make a timeline containing at least 5 significant events in your subject’s life. Be sure the scale, (spacing), is accurate, and keep the entries sequential, (in order by time). The timeline must be clear and uncluttered, and the entries easy to read.
