Historical
Fiction Book Report
1.
Setting
-
Describe
where, when, and over what period of time the story takes place.

Explain
how the setting is important to the development of the story.

Explain
one thing you learned about this period in history by reading this book.
2. Character
-
Describe
the protagonist of the story (the hero)

Identify
physical traits (what he/she looks like)
-
Identify
at least 3 character traits or qualities, using specific examples from
the story to support each trait.
3. Conflict
and Resolution
-
Describe
the problem, (conflict), which the protagonist has in the story.

Explain
the steps the character takes to solve the problem.
-
Tell
whether the problem is solved, or resolved).
-
Be sure
to cite evidence from the story, (use specific examples from the story).
4. Cover
and End Paper
-
Your
cover must contain a hand drawn picture that depicts, (shows), an important
event in the story.
-
On the
back of the report, in the space provided, describe what the scene is.
-
Your
cover must contain the title of the book, the author's name, your name,
grade 5, and the date.
-
On the
inside cover, create end paper to represent your book.
