| Thursday, November 28, 2002 Welcome to the second installment of Straightjacket: "Broken Doll". Unfortunately I suck at all things html, so I pretty much forced my genius sister to do it for me. THANK YOU SANDEE!! So..happy Thanksgiving! I spent the day in Paso Robles with family. Quite the unruly bunch, I must say. Never a dull moment. Jane, with a stick permanantly lodged in her ass....Sandee, constantly screaming infidelities (haha)....Grandma, falling over because she can't walk....Judy, sneaking up on me on her hands and knees....Sam, the human dictionary, and Chris, prancing around in cammo....it's bloody insane!!! Ok. So can I talk shit now? I wanna talk about Miss Avril Lavigne. Honestly...I want you to listen to any track on her CD and tell me if it's punk. The girl has undeniable talent, that's for sure, and a kickass fashion sense (I would gladly raid her closet), but she's a fucking popstar--NOT a rockstar. And if I look in another magazine and see her described as a 'punk', I'm gonna scream. Do you wanna hear punk? Listen to the Sex Pistols, they'll give you punk. Had to get that off my chest. : ) |
