John Deere and The Rock worked together to ship out tractors and parts.  The Rock also brought in raw materials to build them.  Along with John Deere, The Rock Island also helped other companies in The Quad Cities.  Such as J.I. Case, Farmall (Later known as International Havester: I.H.), and other companies.  Athearn has produce this little flat car with 2 Deere tractors.  Today, Deere & Company uses trucks to haul their products.
I have said it many times about the history of the Quad Cities Area.  With industrial might of companies such as John Deere, it grew.  With the Rock Island as the Midwest BIG railroad, it was inevible that Deere used the Rock Island Line.
