 This site has a very eclectic mixture of the interesting, the bizzare, and anything else that we feel deserves to grace these pages with their presence. It will mostly be devoted to our band DITCHWATER!!!!!!!
I, Herbie, am in a band DITCHWATER. We are from a rural farm town, Vandalia, Mo. We have been through some lineup changes, a little change in musical style, and a revamping of the band but the feeling is about the same. We write all of our own music except a handful of covers that we "drag through the Ditchwater" to give it our own feel. You can e-mail me at [email protected] for booking information or inquiry about a "BAREBONES BOOTLEG" demo pack. We are currently in the process of recording a CD. We are not sure if we will release an LP or an EP yet. We need to check the funds! Be on the lookout for it none the less!!! We can appeal to all because we definitely have a very eclectic mixture of music, because we have all came from different backgrounds and musical interests. We play both acoustic and electric sets depending on the venue. The acoustic set has been put on a small hiatus but is being polished up for future shows. The electric set leans toward the heavy side while the acoustic is laided back with a definite edge to it. Some of our acoustic songs have been said to sound bluegrassy. Some of our electric songs have been said to sound more like metal, but that's something we try to stray away from "certain genres". We definitely have evolved into our own sound. We started as only a three piece, which gave some of the songs a free for all jam feel.We are now a three piece again leaning a little toward the heavier electric songs, but we have still mantained the free for all jam feel (we will invite somebody up to do a random jam in the middle of a set). When the groove grabs us and wants us to follow it, WE DO! " WE ARE THE FIRST STONER METAL JAM BAND!!!!" We have started doing shows again so inquire through e-mail if interested in booking us for shows or for a "BAREBONES BOOTLEG" demo pack or info on the upcoming CD.
