Chapter 7
The Sea of Colors
Rita looked around her, feeling like she was in a dream. She was in a soft gooey yellow bubble surrounded with blue liquid. Where are we? she asked, her voice sounding strange.
Were inside a lava lamp, JoJo replied. Cant you tell?
           Groovy, Paul responded.
The bubble began floating upward towards the top of the lava lamp. This is cool, Rita said. Think theres a way out at the top?
Well find out, JoJo told her.
When the bubble finally reached the top of the lamp, they discovered another trap door. Paul opened it and they climbed out the top.
This is a strange place, Pam commented. Are we lost?
Of course not, Paul said. What could we be lost from? If we never make it back to where we started then its OK. One thing is important. Weve got to hook George, John, and Ringo up with William Campbell before the concert!
Then lets get going, JoJo said.
           Going where? Pam asked him.
Dunno, but we wont get anywhere just standing around, JoJo replied.
I love this room! Rita marveled. Bright colors of lights swirled and rippled on the walls ceiling and floor, ever changing from one breathtaking pattern to another. Its a Sea of Colors.
Suddenly bluebirds began flying out of the ripples of blue and filling the room. The four stopped walking and just stared at the pretty little birds swooping around them.
Where are they coming from? Rita asked.
The wall? Paul suggested. Thats how it appears anyway.
Suddenly the birds seemed to be forming a pattern as they flew around the room. Look! Rita exclaimed. Theyre making letters!
Theyre making words, JoJo noticed in awe.
Theyre trying to tell us something, Pam exclaimed.
Sea of Green, Paul read as the birds flew in perfect formation, making the letters quite plain.
Sea of Green? Does that mean were supposed to find the Sea of Green? Rita mused aloud.
Not another sea of something, groaned JoJo. We just made it out of the Sea of Holes.
Come on, JoJo, Rita protested. This is fun!
Yeah, Paul said. Lets see if we can find the Sea of Green.
But where do we begin? Pam asked.
How about right here, said Paul as he stepped onto a ripple of green light that was swirling across the floor.
Rita gasped as Paul completely disappeared. Paul! she shouted. Where are you?
Paul! screamed Pam. Are you OK?
Yes, yes, came his voice sounding distant and distorted. Just step onto a beam of green and youll find the Sea of Green.
