Chapter 10
The Sea of Clouds
Well, now were out of the Sea of Time, Pam said. But where do we go from here?
Watch this, Paul said. He stepped off of his flower and onto a cloud. Come on, he said. We wont get anywhere just sitting on our flowers. He winked at JoJo.
The others followed and they began walking across the Sea of Clouds. We need another clue, Pam said. Isnt it about time for another one?
Look, Rita exclaimed. The clouds are forming into letters and words.
The Sea of Cars, Paul read. Cars?
Where would that be? Pam wondered.
They came around a fluff of clouds and there sat a lime green VW Beetle with yellow and white daisies painted on it.
           A car! Rita exclaimed.
Paul got into the drivers seat.
I wanted to drive, JoJo said.
Youre sitting in the back, JoJo, Pam told him.
           No, Rita is, he said.
No, Rita argued. Im riding in the front.
Here, baby, you can drive my car, Paul told Rita.
Rita climbed into the drivers seat and Paul climbed in the back. I thought I was sitting in the back, JoJo said.
           You are, Rita told him.
Ill sit in the front then, Pam said climbing in next to Rita. Rita turned the key and gave the car some gas and away they went across the universe.
I some how feel as far from earth as ever, Pam said as she looked out the window across the Sea of Clouds.
I know, Rita said. Its so lonely up here.
Cheer up! Here comes the sun, Paul said cheerfully.
JoJo turned and looked at him with a sigh. A frown creasing his handsome face.
Sure enough the sun came out and shown across the fluffy white clouds turning their edges to brilliant shades of pink, golden, and orange.
Its beautiful! Rita exclaimed. The sun makes so much difference.
