My (sorta daily)   Journal
July 18, 2004

Starting today, I am going to write a short journal entry every day (if I have time). Okay, so here goes...

Today I got back from Denver. Now, I know you're thinking, "So what, you went to Denver, what possibly could be THAT interesting in Denver?" Well, my friend, Shanna, and I went to a weekend program at Johnson and Wales University. It is open to people entering the 10th-12th grades. This school is known for its Culinary Arts (cooking) program. You get to take one of three courses for 2 days: Culinary Ars, Business, or Hospitality. You also get to stay in a college dorm! I went with a Gear Up group, so it was only $20.00 per person. But, I knew people there from everywhere and they spent somewhere around $200.00!. Anyways, It was a lot of fun! I think the only thing I didn't like was the temperature of the dorms. They were
HOT! And it was rather cool and cloudy outside! There were a few people there that I could stand NOT to be there, but the whole experience was GREAT! I learned about basic knife skills and Baking and Pastry Arts. I got to wear a little chef hat + apron. He, he, he! We went to some awesome places for dinner both nights: Cinzzetti's and Red and Jerry's. They feed you sooooo well at that school. What do yo expect from a Culinary Arts university?! You meet many new people from around the United States! I met two wonderful people during my stay: Ana and Ben! They're awesome, and I love people like that who make you feel welcome. That's about it for now! Until next time!

I found this wicked awesome (he, he) website! it is so funny! It is called www.toothpastefordinner.com and it's basically these daily cartoons. They are totally random and hilarious! I will be adding a select few onto my website ASAP! I have been spending a LOT of time on the computer lately, I know. You are thinking of a sign flashing over my head flashing "NERD, NERD, NERD!" But oh well.

Long time no... write! Either I have been too busy, too tired, or my stoopid computer has been faulty! Well, anyways, yesterday I went with my best friend, Brandon, and his family to Six Flags Elitch Gardens in Denver! I had the greatest time! I went on all of the roller coasters, even the ones that were scary/ made me sick! But, yep, I went on the new "Half Pipe" roller coaster and it was loads of fun! I had THE BEST nachos there! YUMMY! I saw many people I knew there including David, Mike M, Andrew, Andy, and their friends! It was pretty darn awesome! Even though it was a cloudy day and we couldn't go to the water park, it was the PERFECT amusement park day! Oh, and I got a cap with "Elitch Gardens" on it!
And today I did a whole lot of nothing! Wait, not true: I made nachos for my family and we played dominoes! Ooh, and I did watch television for most of the day, which is always fun!
Guess I've gotta get to bed! Until next time!

This is my best friend, Brandon, and me at Elitch's on our way in (in the main lobby area) Yeah, it looks like I'm squinting, but it's just the light, believe me! Oh, and the surprised look (wink, wink) on Brandon's face is cuz this lady just came up to us and took the picture and he didn't know what was going on.

This is the HalfPipe, a new roller coaster at Elitch's and it as two sides like this. -->
It was the first ride we went on, and it was one of THE best! You are going back and forth on this "snowboard" while you are spinning slowly on top! FUN, FUN, and absolute FUN!

I read a whole book today! I know, it's amazing. J/K! But I did and it was The Great Gatsby. Actually, it was a good book and I can't wait to discuss it tomorrow. Let's see... I sent out the e-mail that has this site on it for the invitation to my party and oh, I also watched television again! Exciting, eh?
...I've got nothin' now in my noggin, so...
Until next time!

I just worked at Anton's today and visited a couple friends. Also, I've been brushing up on my video game skills. And, you know what? My thumb hurts now when I play those racing games! You know what that means? : Play more video games! ;-)  That's about it. So...
    ...Until next time!
