Dave has been playing guitar for around 7 years now. However, this was mostly spent playing Lead Guitar and Instrumental Guitar Music. Dave began playing Rhythm Guitar on a more regular basis in September 2001 when DayGone was formed. Having originally set out in a Rock-Metal based direction, Dave was soon heaviliy influenced by Ewan's Death Metal and Grindcore collection which had a formidable effect on Dave's playing. The songs are co-written with Ewan, the majority of which now race along at a venomous pace. |

Dave learned how to play Guitar under the teaching of Nick Andrew for about 2-3 years and now plays guitar himself with the assistance of masses of guitar books and videos. Having done a Guitar Course at Dundee Music Workshop, Dave was given the opportunity to play with many younger and older musicians and hence gain experience of playing in different bands. Dave played Instrumental music, with Dundee Rock band Hennisi and also Dundee's most amazing Harmonica player Fast Eddie to name only a few. |

Now Dave enjoys playing much heavier, faster music while still involving a lot of lead solo's into the songs. However, Dave's main focus at present is Rhythm that he is progressing in which comprises with the Instrumental influence throughout the songs. |

Dave is known for being the most dedicated reader (or rather looker) of Swank magazine, constantly buying new accessories for his Guitar and smelling like a rancid piece of cheese. (Hee Hee, you can kick me later Dave!) |
