Rev: VP AOOVI TE [ likely PTVLLOY NIKOPOL PROC IC] Legend of EVTVXWC TOIC KVPIOK in wreath 4 lines.

Magistrate Ovinus Tertullus. The inscription in wreath, EVTVXWC TOIC KVPIOIC, reads "Good luck to the emperors!", a reference to the elevation of Caracalla and Geta to Augustus and Caesar in 198 A.D.  The dual bust depicted on this coin is a provincial dynastic issue as opposed to a denominational issue seen on other provincial dual bust coinage. An important coin in any condition.

Not referenced in Sears GIC, Lindgren II or III, Varbanov or AMNG.  Not listed on wildwinds or Moushmov online.  The reverse is attested with the obverse busts of Caracalla and Geta vis-a-vis, AMNG 1625

My thanks to Curtis Clay and Patricia Lawrence for attributing and providing much of the information about this coin.
