FLEACH & FLUMPY

Fleach, the older of the two cats, at about 13 years, is a little shy at first but warms up to people quickly and is very affectionate. Flumpy, the younger, at about 6-7 years, loves to be brushed and petted but will let you know when she's had enough. I've attached images (recently-taken) of both cats to this message. Fleach is the older of the two, though she really doesn't look it. Flumpy, the younger, could lose a couple pounds.

We are desparately trying to find homes for 2 adorable tortoisshell calicos. Mark adopted Fleach, the older of the two at about 14 years, from a kitten rescue service in the East Bay when she was very young. He rescued Flumpy, the younger cat, about five years ago now, and she was perhaps eight to 16 months old at the time. He had to give them to me a little more than three years ago when he married and moved in with his wife, who is deathly allergic to cat dander. I now find myself in a situation where, for several reasons, I too must find a new home for them.

Flumpy has been indoors-only for the past five years, Fleach for the past six. Flumpy's former owner had her declawed, while Fleach still has all her claws and likes a good scratching post. Fleach is alternately mellow and almost kitten-like in her playfulness, a little shy at first but very friendly after a good sniff. Flumpy is a little more moody (and a little heavy) but she can be very playful and loving most of the time. We have been trying for the past few months to find good homes for both cats but the few promising leads we had
fell through (though through no fault of the cats). The cats do not need to go to the same home, though their doing so would be a good situation, of course. As I said, we love these cats dearly and are willing to pay for new carrying cages, litter boxes, scratching post(s), litter, and food if the new owners can provide a safe and loving environment for Fleach and Flumpy.
Please feel free to e-mail either one of us if you have questions, and thank you for your concern.
