We got out early today, if you can call 9 am early, but usual swamp walking time is about 10:45 am. Today DH and I both had doctor appointments and we wouldn't get back till late (it's an 80 mile round trip) since we'd also hit the big box store to buy some supplies.

It was sunny and only 10 degrees f when the pups and I went out. We followed the usual trail which takes the high ground (6 inches to a huge couple of feet above water level) between the real swampy parts, over to Yogi's house where I dropped the pups off for a day of romping till I got back. When I did return (it was a much warmer 22f), I walked on over, picked them and Yogi up, went for another walk and then stopped in for my daily chat and iced tea with Yogi's owners.

They'd informed me Chance, their son's dog, a Boston Bull Terrier had dropped by and wrestled mightily with Luna for hours on end. She is now a pretty pooped pup. One of these days I'll have to be sure to have my camera with me when Chance pops in.

Then it was back home and now the pups are snoozing on the bed in front of the fireplace hoping for another tasty treat. Such a nice quiet life.
