Skateboarding Page!

I love many things, and skateboarding is one of them worth mentioning. I've been skating for about 3 years, and i just fell in love with it when i first tried.
History
Let me start by telling you the basics and history of skateboarding. The first skateboards were actually more like scooters, with the undercarriage consisting of rollerskate wheels attached to a two by four. Once the pushbar of the scooter-like contraption was broken off, skateboarding was born. Skateboarding became very popular almost overnight, and companies were fighting to keep up with demand. Over fifty million skateboards were sold within a three year period, and the first skateboard contest was held in Hermosa Beach, CA in 1963. In 1973 the urethane wheel was invented, revolutionizing the sport. Key advances in the sport included the aerial, the invert and the ollie, which may be the single most important trick in the evolution of skateboarding, next to the kickturn. This was the first time skateboarding had stars, some of the first really big names being Tony Alva, Jay Adams and Stacy Peralta. Now that i got the key points in skateboarding history covered, I'm going to tell you about the basics.
Basics
First off you have to learn how to stand. If you stand with your right foot foward, it's known as "goofy footed", while if you stand with your left foot foward, that's known as "regular footed". There are an unlimited number of tricks you can do ranging from the simple kickflip, to a harder backside, or bs, bluntside. Once you find which stance is most comfortable for you, then you can start worrying about how to push, with your back foot, or front foot. Well thats enough for now, go try and see which you like more.
Because i have been skating for a while, i thought i would help all of you newbies out with a trick tip section. So here you go:
Trick Tips
Stances:
Regular - Left foot foward
Goofy - Right foot foward
Switch - Opposite of your normal stance
