| Brent and I live together in our Virginia Beach apartment. The Hampton Roads area includes the Southside (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Suffolk) and the Peninsula (Hampton and Newport News). It's the world's largest Navy community and it includes seven Naval Commands. During tourist season this place gets really busy and cramped causing backed up tunnel and bridge traffic. Fortunately, we live in a pretty good location with access to everything so we can take a few routes to avoid the problems... but that's only if we leave before or after "military rush hour traffic" and regular business rush hours. Those times are between 5-9:30am and 4-6:30pm which makes for hectic travel on the interstates. | |||||||||||||||||
