Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage is the best man in a motion picture I have ever seen. If I would know a few things in my time it would be movies, I love them and I cant get enough of them. His acting in "The Rock" was mind boggling it was the first movie I have seen with him in it and what can i say he really made me think that he was a Chemical Biological Annalisyst for the F.B.I. and in "City Of Angels" he made me believe that, he really had to choose between a life with god as an angel or to become human with the love of his life, to be a mortal. Nicolas Cage was awared man of the year in 2001. In his movie "Captin Correli's Mandolin" he is an army Capitan with a few men in his platoon, and they all sing. He falls in love with a local woman, with his voice and his mandolin he will try to win her over. Windtalkers he has to protect the one man who can read and write a special code that could win the war. In his closest movie Adaptation you can read the plot below.
His new movie, windtakers I think have something in comnon with every other one. Every role he plays as a main role he is either a cop, convict or some other type of emergency unit. but there are always excieptions to this like in the family man. This movie is about protecting a man with a code that only a select few people know and protecting the code at all costs even if that mean killing the man who knows the code if he ever got caught.

Adaptation - It's two odd stories in one. The plot follows the attempt of screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage) to adapt Susan Orlean's nonfiction novel The Orchid Thief for the big screen. As Kaufman  tries to work with the book's true story the tale of John Laroche (Chris Cooper), a Florida plant dealer who works with Seminole Indians to create clones of rare orchids, which he sells to collectors for huge profits he nearly goes mad. Enter his fictional twin (also Cage), a more successful version of Charlie. Charlie finally manages to finish the script, finding that in the process, he's incorporated himself and his writer's block into the story. Meryl Streep plays Orlean.

The Wicker Man - This is a remake of the 1973 flick of the same title, in which a Scottish police sergeant travels to one of Scotland's island communities to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, only to discover a creepy neo-pagan society, the members of which may or may not have sacrificed the girl in a ritual.

The Volunteer - Nicolas Cage stars as a Midwestern state trooper who becomes involved in a battle between two alien races.

The Divide - A 19th-century Chinese immigrant named Gun-Li (Chow Yun-Fat) arrives in San Francisco with his wife only to realize that they've been sold into slavery to work on the transcontinental railroad. Of course, this leaves him mightily peeved, so he teams up with an Irishman who's been cheated similarly and begins to avenge himself.

Standing Room Only - Standing Room Only tells the true story of lounge singer Jimmy Roselli, who tried to sever his mob ties, only to face the wrath of the Cosa Nostra.

Secret Sanction - Based on the Brian Haig novel series of the same name, Secret Sanction sees a military conflict through the eyes of a prosecutor.

Pony Ride -
Nicolas Cage makes his directorial debut with this true life story of television writer John Carlen, who wrote this film's screenplay. Carlen, to be played by James Franco (the TNT cable movie James Dean), was born and raised in New Orleans and groomed to follow the family tradition of becoming an upscale male prostitute, turning tricks for wealthy Southern women. The film will follow Carlen's attempts to break free of his sex-for-hire lifestyle, much to the dismay of his mother, who wants her son to stay in the business.

Matchstick Men -
Based on Eric Garcia's upcoming book, Nicolas Cage plays Roy, a professional con man who suffers from an obsessive-compulsive disorder that keeps his life, and that of his partner, Frank (Sam Rockwell), very organized. But when Roy meets the daughter he never knew he had, his structured world is jeopardized.

Back Up - In a future in which memories are backed up like computer files and humans are routinely brought back to life, a cop (Nicolas Cage) is resuscitated 90 days after his own murder. Due to a glitch in the system, there's a gap in his memory, so he sets out to find his killer and discover why his wife left him.

Hard Boiled - Carl (Cage) is an insurance investigator living quietly and peacefully with his wife and kids. His tranquility is shattered when he discovers that he's been living a secret life, previously unknown even to him, as Nixon, a homicidal serial killer. Even stranger than that, though, is the following discovery: In addition to Nixon, he's got another alter ego, Unit Four, a cyborg death machine and the saviour of a future generation of robots.
