You wake up not knowing if dreams come true. Sometimes you want to go to sleep just so that they do. . .

He held her hand tightly. Nothing was going to break it, he thought to himself, as he walked with her through a hallway. White, you couldnt see where the walls ended and where they began. The doors, every ten feet, were black, smooth, and untouchable dangers. It seemed like a dream world, but he couldnt care less. He held her hand as they walked together and he couldnt have been happier. Her lustrous golden hair shined like the sun. Her bright smile lightened up her face and molder her into the woman of his dreams; and he had her in his hands. Oh the joys. Oh the happiness that beat in his heart as thoughts of the future rushed to him. He saw a wedding, as white as the walls ahead; long nights as black and dangerous and the doors, thinking of them together with unrestricted desires to be satisfied; a family with a great big house and a white picket fence. His dreams were pure of heart and joy from innocence that felt no fears. Only the reassurance that everything was going to be okay because he still held on to her hand. Then she stopped him.

She stopped at a door suddenly and without warning. He couldnt tell why and didnt know what to say. It was not like her, it was unfamiliar to him, as to why she would suddenly stop in the middle of their path to their dreams. He started to feel anxious, wanting to move on quickly, quickly to answer the call of his destiny. She put her hand on the door and opened it up to a party. The loud music played in a tone of deep, dark depression, but you could dance to it. The lights were dim, but vibrant as rays danced along the walls slowly. She turned to look into his eyes, . His heart was pounding hard, but not for the passion that was in it, but for the incredible fear he had of the thoughts that were running through her head. He didnt know what they were, and the scar on his heart stretched and strained as it pounded, like a hammer slamming down on a nail. He heard the laughter of other men in the room, and tears wanted to burst out of him. He felt that he couldnt join her, that she had some kind of need to walk into the room without him. He was just afraid that it would be forever.

Fear not, darling. She soothed. Running her hands across his face, her warm eyes melted into his.

Are you coming back? Are you leaving me forever? Dont you love me? He was nerved and uncomfortable, trying to hold back the tears from the scar that pulsated.

Easy, easy, she whispered and fell into his arms. They stood, as he held her tighter. He ran his hands through her long hair and felt each strand pass by his hand. He pressed his cheek on the top of her head and longed for her never to go away from him. How will I find myself?

I know, He looked at her and knew that she had to walk into the room.

All is well, I am not leaving you, She explained to him as she lay on his chest, his heart pounding erratically and hard. I will always be with you, even if you are not holding me.

He picked her up from his chest and looked into her eyes, I know.

So he watched her open the door and walk inside. Trembling, his hands were numb. He wanted to burst out into tears that were unborn to his consciousness. Trust, he repeated to himself. Closing his eyes, he remembered that she was here with him, always. He tried to remember the taste of her kiss; the feeling of her hair as it would brush across his face; the feeling of her hands running across his body; the look in her eyes that told him she loved him. Trust, he repeated to himself. He was scared and couldnt deny the pain he felt from a memory that deeply scared itself into him. A tear escaped his grasp and he became human. No longer a super man able to stand high above anyone else in the world, he now had to admit that he had feelings that bounded him to morality. Hanging his head down, he almost gave up hope. The door opened up again and she stepped out.

He waited as he watched her walk to him. He waited, to see if she was still the woman he wanted to hold the hand of. Wheres her glow? Wheres her beauty? Where is she? She stared into his eyes, and her warmth glazed onto him. Here, he knew she had come back to him, safely. He jumped to her and grabbed her, embracing her tightly, not wanting to let go. Youre back, he whispers to himself, happily relieving tears onto her shoulder.

I never left. Im always here, She picked up her face and kissed his forehead. He looked down to her as she held out her hand, taking it as his as it always was. He held on tightly, proudly, happily and she would assure him that she is there, even if she must take a moments step out.
