| So I recently became aware of a mistake I had made. I had the right idea, but went about it wrong. We live and we learn. Voting. In America today you are allowed to vote. It's not a right or a privalege. It's a way to make us think we have a say in our government. Bullshit. First there is the Electoral College, they vote which ever way pays best. Why vote against the money in a capitalist country? Second there is a matter of canidates being payed off. Not nessacarily a bribe, but if your a republican with your conservative ways, and you want to make sure you win, split your democratic opponents votes by paying for ads for the third canidate (green, independant, etc). The votes that the democrat party would recieve from the more earthly voters will then go to the green canidate. Dropping the count for the democrats. Thus allowing the republicans to improve their chances. Third you have the issue of voting for the devil with a halo, and the angel with horns. Wow what a choice! Well it's a catch 22. so why not avoid the whole situation and don't vote. What? Don't vote? That's lunacy! Or is it? If enough people do not vote, it is not an election by majority. Which means that if the follow through with it, the majority can now rise and speak their minds. If the people are not happy, then you cannot rule them easily. Wait! Rule? Yes rule. They use fear to control us. What are you talking about?! Hmmm... 9-11 ring a bell? Many people weren't happy with Bush and his Florida recount. Don't forget he has a brother in office down there. So he had to get the american populace behind him. And what better way than to scare them, and make them turn toward the one figure head we have become obsessed with? The president. He tells us Not to be affraid. Aww, he is reassuring us. He says we will get to the bottom of this and right the wrongs. Aww, he is taking action. What a noble thing in the midst of this tradgedy... Take a stand. Be brave. We don't need some body else telling us how to live, and what to be afraid of. We are perfectly capable of doing this ourselves. Turn off your TV, quit looking up internet porn, quit letting some one tell you what you "need". Take a look around. Go downtown, meet some of the people that have done this. Look under your overpasses and go to the crackhouses. There you will find your american version of ethiopean, and somalia kids. Not that I'm saying they aren't in a worse situation, but honestly, why turn a blind eye on that neighbor kid whose parents are to drugged out to care if he is alive or not. Or that young teenage girl whose parents whore her out for their drugs. Oh wait. This is America, we're perfect, and that kind of shit doesn't happen. You closed minded, insesitive, blind son of a bitch. That is your typical American. You stick your little support our troops magnet on your car and you've done your part. Maybe you buy a little "Made In China" American flag, and put it on your antannea, or on your window. You are sooo patriotic now. Ignorant fool. I bet you didn't know your neighbor beats his son every night because he can't catch that football. Or that your own daughter gags herself after dinner so she can look just like those models in her magazines you subscribed to for her. No, your family and your neighborhood is perfect. Your all model Americans with your import cars, Made In China flags, and your annorexic, disturbed, suicidal, brainwashed children. Congratulations. You ARE the typical American. |
