| Luck and Skill by: Graham Powell They met in between Victoria and Halifax Both still in their teens, But they went on their separate ways But still they kept in touch Until the ink in their pens seemed to stop She went off to france And he went on his tour to teach They hoped they'd meet again But the ocean seemed so deep Neither of them knew They may have let the best one get away The memory may have faded but never went away They just needed luck and skill He had to pass a note When they finally met again Asking "what's her name?" A name that he found hard to say She knew right away When she saw that note passed down the isle The fire was still burning And she felt it still They just needed luck and skill After all these years They can still recall the day They put together love Because her parents were away Many other times they spent together bringing down the sky The fire is still burning They're together still I hope we have as much luck and skill |
