Spring Over Conversion
With the Jeep done we took a few steps back to check it it out. We were preety impressed by the way it turned out. Josh was thinking about switching from his TJ to a YJ for a second. The Jeep sits on 35" goodyear project tires for now, but the 37" Super Swamper SSR's will be comming shortly.
We  flexed the jeep to measure for shocks, then ran down to 4 wheel parts to get them. In the future we will be building a custom front hoop to switch to duel shocks in the front. With 37's it's just safer.
SAFETY ISSUES:
We are not running a front track bar at this time and both Rubicon Express and M.O.R.E. recomend the use of one. We have noticed a bit of front axle movement but not much. And we are planing on installing one. M.O.R.E. sells one for a spring over set up.
Next, with this much hight you will want to keep the sway bars on while on road, and the instalation of a rear sway bar wouldn't be a bad Idea.
With this big of tires I would recomend the use use a steerbox brace to keep from ripping of your steer box
To finish the jeep off we took it down to the good people at 4Wheel parts to have it re-geared. We went with 4.88:1
to keep pushing to 37" meats that will be on there. This jeep if fast with the 35's and 4.88's
FINAL NOTES:
This conversion took about all weeked to do with 2 people. So if your planing to do a spring over, allow pleanty of time so your not stuck on monday. Also allow pleanty of extra money for litle things you will need. It's the little things that will kill you. The amount of stuff we needed to complete this lift added up realy quick. For instance we needed to buy cut off wheels, 5/8 drill bit( $18), ,a few nut's and bolts, an angle finder, spray paint, lube, brake fuid, etc. You get the point, save a few bucks .
*  In no way should you take this write up as sole instruction for doing this conversion. It is a custom lift and should be done at the owners own risk. Do not attempt this conversion without knowing the affects it will cause to the handleing and drivability of your Jeep!!
