H R :   What is Rockbitch ?

Beast : It was Amanda's idea, some years ago. She wanted to create a lesbian community. We moved in France 9 years ago. Within this community, there was a                        band, Red Abyss, wich played in Coffes, or Pubs. Then, 4 years ago, we changed our name to Rockbitch. Our Communtity is feminist, lesbian, and                               bisexual. Rockbitch is the artistic expression of all of that.

H R :   How does it feel to be the only one guy of the band ?

Beast : Fucking Brilliant !

H R :   Are you gay ?

Beast : No, I love pussy. I love it !
Julie : Me, I'm gay. In this band we are three lesbians, two bisexuals, and one hetero, Beast.
Beast : We live and work together for a long time now. I envisage nothing else yet. I don't make love to the lesbians, I only do with with bisexuals, but I really get                     along with the lesbians ! We share the girls ! Let me give you a picture : Rockbitch is a dozen of puppies, sleeping in a basket, warming up each other,                         licking and playing together ! It's natural, it's beautiful, and there's nothing to do with pornography !

H R :   Where do you come from ?

Julie : Most of us are english. But there's a french, an italian, and a dutch. I'm english but I was born in Gibraltar. My parents are german and scottish.
Babe : Beast is scottish. I was born in Zambie, but there's a strong celtic culture inside the community.

H R :   Why did you want to live in France ?

Babe : Have you ever been in England ? (laughs)

H R :   Yes ! I like it !

Beast : So you should try to live there ! Try to live inside a lesbian community in England, and you'll see how it feels to receive stones in the windows, or to be                          insulted when you do your shopping ! French people are more... cool !

H R :   Two years ago, your concert was forbidden in Dynamo festival. Nevertheless, dutch people are not renowned for being particularly stuck !

Beast : It's because of this fucking Eindhoven mayor ! Holland is a really great country but, if a bastard is elected, he makes the law in his place. We wanted to go                   on-stage and talk to the public, to tell them we were sorry to not play. But the mayor told us that if we would put one feet on the scene, he would arrest us                     and he'd stop the festival immediately ! And this would prevent all the bands for playing !
Babe : It was incredible ! We were permanently escorted by the police as far as our hotel room !
Julie :   But we came back to Eindhoven, one month later, and we played in front of 4000 people screaming " Fuck the mayor " !

H R :   Well, let's talk about the content of your concerts. What is so offensive ??

Beast : Honnestly, I don't know. It's just human sexuality.
Babe :   We do on stage what everyone does at home ! We kill nobody, we dont break the law, and nobody's under 18 at our concerts.
           We're just living the Rock n' Roll dream ! This is weird because there's a lot of people in the industry who doesn't like us. But if you take a sheet and a pen,                  and you define Rockbitch : it's the absolute Rock n' Roll dream ! The problem is that we are girls. If men would do that, everybody would love them !
Beast : Fuck ! When you see Blackie Lawless slitting the throat of a pig, everybody think it's cool ! When we really make love, we have problems...

H R :   It doesn't seem easy for you to organize your concerts....

Beast : It's amazing ! We are forbidden to play in Norway, Sweden, Canada, and some parts of Germany...

H R :   What is the most important : Music, or Sex ?

Babe : Both ! Sex is our inspiration, the main message. Female sexuality as it is actually , not as it is described by society.
Julie : Excuse me , but I think it's a stupid question ! It's like asking to Rage Against The Machine what is the most important between music and political !

H R :   Mmmm... I asked them !     (everybody laughs !)

Babe : If Sex was the most important, we wouldn't play music.
Beast : The answer to your question is : the most important between Sex and Music in Rockbitch ? Whiskey ! (laughs)

H R :   Do you take drugs ?

Julie : No. Sex is our drug.
Beast : I did. But I stopped it a long time ago. It's too much expensive.
Babe : We are ten in the community. We don't really have enough money !

H R :   Why is there a man in your band ? Why isn't Rockbitch a female band only ?

Babe : Because we are not sexist ! This guy plays the guitar like nobody does, and it would be hypocritical from us to throw him out and get a girl instead !
          We could do that if we were a band, but we are a community !
Beast : There was another guy in Rockbitch. He played the saxophone. But our music is more radicale now, and we didn't need this instrument anymore.
          He's a technician now. That's what I like in a community : no ego problems !

H R :   Will we have the chance to see you play in France ?

Julie : Yes. We will do an european tour in September, and I know we will play in France. I don't know when, but I know we will play there.

H R :   What do you like in our country ?

Babe : Wine and women. There's in France something very difficult to define, an atmosphere that you can feel, even when you're very young.
           I remember my linguistic stays when I was in High scool. I felt something very particuliar and pleasant.
Julie :   French people are the kings ! They know how to live !

H R :   What is your opinion about girls bands : Hole, The spice girls...

Babe : I respect them, because they must work really harder than men to get the same result. I respect all thses girls bands. I don't necessarily like the music,
          but I know how it's hard to be a girl in this business. Fuck ! Whan you see that a lot of men bands are signed, and they play some crazy shit !
          It's unbelievable !

H R :   Like who ? We want some names !

Babe : Eh eh ! Sorry no !
Beast : A lot bands played with us because we bring a lot of people to our shows. And those bands are really arrogant ! They say :" We make good music, whereas                    the audience is here only to see boobs and pussy..." Pffft ! They don't even realize one of the most important thing : we are good musicians.

H R :   And what about the fans ?

Julie : there are boys and girls. A majority of girls, by the way.

H R :   What kind of relations do you have with them ?

Beast : We fuck them !
Babe : What is the interest to be a sexual band, if you don't fuck with everybody ? That's not a gimmick, it's really our Stuff !

H R :   And A.I.D.S. ?

babe : And condoms ! We always practise Safe Sex !

H R :   And male fans ? Do you have problems with them sometimes ?

babe : Only when they mug one of the lesbians. We have a strict rule : we never have sex with strangers when we're working.
          On stage, or during an interview.   (Damn it !!!)
Beast : Happily !! This chick (showing Babe) would spend her time fucking with everybody !!
