The Darkness @ The Xfm Hot Rockin' Xmas Session
Bareback The Darkness traditional riff-tastic instrumental set opener. Raise your hands in the time honoured two-finger salute. No time for vocals just yet mama; were rockin

Black Shuck The first time were witness to singer Justin Hawkins Pavaroti vs. Freddie Mercury vocal histrionics is over this foot stomping track about East Anglias mythical spectral death omen demon dog (no, really). [

The Best Of Me Justin bounds about the stage like a man possessed as he and his brother, fellow plank spanker Dan Hawkins unleash a full frontal twin lead guitar onslaught of epic proportions. Give me a D! Give me an Arkness! [
Growing On Me The Darkness may be occasionally perceived as some ironic leather-trousered rock pantomime, but if they keep penning tunes as downright catchy as this (soon to be) single, then global domination is assured. [
Love Is Only A Feeling The power rock ballad has been a much overlooked genre in popular music of late, here The Darkness reddress the balance. Think Europes Final Countdown. Think Scorpions Wind Of Change. Only better. []

Get Your Hands Off My Woman (****) Trust The Darkness to articulate the inner conflicts of a man nobly defending his amour from the cruel intentions of a potential usurper with such sensitivity and compassion. Current single.
Givin Up This road cruisin, bruisin dose of AC/DC-esque **** rock finds The Darkness in a falsetto sing-a-long mood. You want overblown, overlong and frankly preposterous axe solos? You got em baby.

Stuck In A Rut More rock than the combined rock shops of Blackpool, Torquee and Rhyl. More rock than the Himalayas, Andes and the whole of Snowdonia National Park. More rock than Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 all put together. R.O.C.K.

I Believe In A Thing Called Love The bands debut single still sounds as ballsy, vainglorious and downright rocking as it did when it first came out. (Features the lyric, My hearts in overdrive and youre behind the steering wheel. Nuff said). [

Love On The Rocks (With No Ice) Audience favourite and traditional set closer. The finale of this thundering groovesome beast of a tune sees Hawkins carried aloft around the crowd while executing spectacular pyrotechnic guitar fret-wankery. None. More. Rock
