Joe Perry and his signature Les Paul, 21st April (black biro, printed face)
This is the portrait I did last time Joe Perry sat for me. Or stood. No, I�m just kidding. It�s the full body of the stand-up I have of Joe. I�ve done his head in more detail- you can see it here. The finished one is all blurred because I framed it all up and couldn�t be bothered undoing it to scan it. You pretty much get all of it in the first one anyway. The writing, in case you care, says "I�m holdin� MY baby. How �bout you?" And that�s really Joe Perry�s signature!
No, it�s not, I was just fooling. I wish I wasn�t though. It�s kinda hard! Because he�s a lefty he does strokes backwards sometimes and it�s unnatural to copy. It looks real enough, since it�s all fuzzy. Thanks to Allen�s Music in Bourke St for the stand-up� I mean, thanks to Joe for posing for me.
