| What are you waiting for?
What are you looking forward to? Why are you looking forward to it? Why do look forward to those things? Don�t let your anxiety get in the way of your situation you are in now! God has you in this time for a reason. God guides our foot steps: Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV (5) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (6) In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Psalm 23 So look at your situation and see how God can use you. If you are a Christian meaning that you have accepted Jesus as your lord as savior then you are in situations for a reason. No matter how good or bad I believe that what you are going though is for a reason. I also believe that that situation is going to be used for God�s Glory. (Example of Debt and Lindsey�s Testimony) So look at your situation and see how God can use you. See what God is teaching you. Examples of waiting found in the bible: Acts 1:4 EMTV (4) And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to withdraw from Jerusalem, but to await for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me; Psalms 62:5 ESV (5) For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. Your Hope is found in Him. Psalms 40:1 KJVR (1) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. God hears your cry! Psalms 25:3 ESV (and v5) (3) Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. Psalms 25:5 ESV (5) Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Isaiah 49:23 ESV (23) Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame." If you wait you will not be put to shame. Luke 12:35-40 ESV (35) "Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, (36) and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. (37) Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. (38) If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! (39) But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. (40) You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Psalms 52:9 ESV (9) I will thank you forever, because you have done it. I will wait for your name, for it is good, in the presence of the godly. We wait because what God has done in the past. What Happens when we wait on God? Blessing! God is going to give you what is due to you when you wait on him! Psalms 104:27 KJVR (27) These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. Psalms 145:15-16 ESV (15) The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. (16) You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. God will bless us but others can�t: Jeremiah 14:22 ESV (22) Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things. |
