North Country Wildlife & The Wolves
The wildlife in the North Country is like no other. It shows you the peacefulness of the wilderness. We have the luxury of enjoying this right from our recently purchased home every morning. However, it is usually not too peaceful with the havoc that you might find if you encounter one of our, "FURRY" friends!!! THE MOOSE!!!!!

Before moving to the North Country, we visited a wolf refuge that cares for these vibrant creatues. While visiting with the wolves we were fortunate enough to watch them engage in a ranking moonlit howl. The wolf pack ranking order is of a serious nature and is not to be taken lightly by any new comers to the pack. I found myself being intrigued with this one wolf. His name was, "Sultan". He was striking, well mannered, yet mischievous with a true sense of living in the wild. I am sorry to say I am in mourning at the loss of Sultan to the pack. My most heart felt sympathy for his companion Luna who has not been the same since.
