| On a perfect day for baseball the Phillies took on the Padres at Arcadia.The phillies pitchers just couldn't find the plate and the padres hiters took advantage of some clutch hits. Phillies pitchers gave up 11 hits and 13 walks for 14 runs. On the other side of the ball, Mark Maniochi held the Phillies in check giving up just six hits and no runs through the first 7 seven innings.
