The Phillies battled the defending champion Bulldogs to a close 3-0 loss at Fairport. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 5th when Joe Reina hit a 2 run homer. The Buldogs added another run in the 9th when Jim Grassley singled and endup scoring on a fielders choice. The Buldogs have a great team on the mound and at the plate. It was a great game on both ends of scorecard. The Phillies gave it there all but couldn't come through when runners where in scoring possition. Andy Rizzo gave up 2 runs and struck out 4 in the loss and Steve Ruffino pitched 4 innings of relief giving up 1 run, stricking out 4 and picking off 2. Tim Fadden was 1-3 in the Phillies Loss. |
