<McLeod hears several vehicles approaching, but is shocked to see the humvee suddenly appear creeping out of the woodline a mere 200 meters away. The humvee has a Mk19 grenade launcher and an AT system, with a man in the turret.>

McLeod starts up his radio "Devil 6 this is Otter 6 is your lead vehicle a Hummer? If so I have it in sight, better warn your boys over."

Whilst he is on the radio he keeps the gunner covered with his MG, just in case.

SGM Stewart looks at Gerhardt and say I hope you are doing better with a little food in your belly. And i can understand a little german . Have you seen many other people around here? Oh and welcome. I'm glad to see all the fireworks you have. I then hunker down to watch for anyone following us.

SSG Ingle continues to watch for anyone trailing them. SSG Ingle puts on his IR Goggles, thinking to himself, "Damn, can't use my sight with these goggles!" Just for fun, he tries anyway. He then puts a fresh magazine in his BM-93R, and cocks his HK-4.

Gerhardt flashes SGM Stewart a smile and says (in two languages) "No, but fighting I heard from where your convoys direction. It sounded like trouble you'd found, is this so? The radio told me you had met der drachen and where retreating from it, a good idea I think." He looks over at SSM Ingle who's playing with his gear, then looks back "Thank you for the food I am, two days without and nothing much to eat at Kalisz!"
Gerhardt looks around the local area, many of the troops are watching rearwards while the convoy is making good time forwards, something nasty behind perhaps? "Behind close, is Ivan? Any idea of who follows?"

After this, Gerhardt clambers across the bouncing and swaying truck to SGT Smith "Kann ich receive you everything? Are you hungry or thirsty?"

Lee replies to McLeod "That should be us. Stand by." He then yells over to Wolfe and
Ikeman in the Hummer. "Ikeman! Wave your hands so the Brit knows it's us!"

McLeod watches as the gunner, driver, and at least 1 passenger stick their hands out of the humvee and wave.

McLeod calls back "roger, I have you in sight. Nice waving" He shakes his head at the method they chose to identify themselves.

The vehicles roll up, and a soldier dismounts and walks over to CPT McLeod.

<They continue to follow along, not sure if they are going to approach the group or not...after all they seem to be heading deeper behind enemy lines...>

The group seems to have linked up with at least one more individual...

<Smith and Star take turns catching some rest while waiting for 2 am to start the insert.

Star prepares his equipment, changing into his all black fatigues, he checks his IR Goggles, pulls out 4 Frag & 2 WP grens attaches them to his kevlar vest, then preps his G11, taking 6 clips and Mini UZI w/ Silencer taking 4 Clips, his Combat Knife, and flashlight before resting.

Smith decides not to dwell on it any longer and suits up. He checks his weapon thoroughly and makes sure the chamber is clear and then locks and loads. After sifting through his pack, he dons his IR goggles when the time comes and checks his web gear to see if everything is in place.>

It's 0200, and Smith and Star begin to sneak towards their insertion point (near the supply dump). They slip through the perimeter without difficulty...either the ruskies are really lax, or it's a trap...

They continue sneaking along when Smith spots a guard, at a range of about 30 meters. He signals to Star, who waits for the guard to take a few steps closer, then opens up with a quick burst...The rounds strike him in the left arm, stomach, and the head...the guard collapses with only a thud. Looking around, they don't spot any more guards...seems too easy... Smith and Star continue to sneak into the supply depot. They spot a UAZ parked close to the supply depot. Smith sneaks over to the UAZ, while Star begins looking around the supply depot. Most of the supplies seem to be mostly small arms ammo, grenades, and mortar ammo. Smith reaches the UAZ and glances in, there are some blankets in the backseat, but it looks clear. Suddenly, the blanket mutters something, then begins to sit up!
