During the Middle Ages society was largely governed by the Feudal System. Obviously, things have changed. ROCs organizational structure, borrows somewhat from the feudal system while being firmly rooted in the twenty-first century. The most basic unit is the Household. Just as in times of old the Household was ruled by a lord. The lords were appointed by barons or such and were expected to fulfil their wishes. The lord of a ROC household is also appointed by a great leader, the local pastor. The local pastor is really the power and authority behind each Household. It is the job of the head of the Household to harmonize the activities of with those of the local church. More specifically the Household is a group of members who meet on a regular basis to conduct the business and activities of the Royal Order of Chivalry. If you are interested in starting a household at your local Church here is some helpful information. Below are some of the Households in the Earldom of IronWood that are active, and some are inactive but did exist to a greater degree if former years. None the less they are recorded here for viewing pleasure.
