| Hello Kristian, how are you?: Alive and as excited as u can be at 2am Haha What's the meaning behind your bands name 2 ton monk?: long or short story?? Basically Johns grand dad was half Japanese half Mongolian�no that's not it, no it originated from Nige's sister came over one day and�nah that's not either. Um no that's right it all came about when I was in China studying at The Beijing Shaolin temple�not that's not true, ok I was drunk, bored, and lonely on a cold winter night, when this strange apparition appeared before me, named the Dark Father and he told me if I didn't name the band 2 TM that he would bask in My Blood�and rape my goat :( First ever 2 ton monk gig?: Nelson Bay PCYC Jam factory, about 300 people, wish we played those kinda shows again hahaha Worst & best ever gig 2 ton monk have played?: I think Best was when we got our 3 mums over at jam to cook and do sexual�Um, no best was Quirridai Home grown Festival (Nige may say no to that haha), and worst I think�damn the rest of em hahaha jokes, last Palais gig was kool to. How long have 2 ton monk been together for?: hard to say, on and off since yr 2000 BC Where do you see the band in 3 years time?: Um�.ahhhh, my skill of clairvoyance is failing right now, and my crystal ball is filthy How many CD's have you released?: 2 demo's and one EP "Talk To Me" Tell us bout your current EP release "talk to me": It is a 7 song CD out through e records, its called "Talk to Me" haha, um it has some punk, some pop, some ska, and a lot of crap, but the cover is really kool with John Howard beating himself off on it. What's your favorite track on the EP & why?: I think "What Goes Around" as its how I feel right now about my STD's, or "Erin Brown" cause we keep seeing her around which makes it funny�to us. Who came up with the artwork on the CD cover?: Well My basic Idea, then we all had some input and a mate of ours Josh Monin did the actual work involved hahaha, champ effort, If u read this Josh the blow Up koala is on the way! What's the last thing you ate?: Um�A nut Can you touch your toes?: yes yes with my penis as it always hangs there Pfft , yeah I can but I cheat cause I am heaps fit Fave bands to play with?: No Direction, I like playing with them they put out and Bops Love splaying with my�tools HAHAHAH, twinkle Eyes! Earliest childhood memory?: Well, it's kinda depressing really, it involved lots of doctors, lots of needles, lots of blood, and lots of pain. What's the best thing you can imagine your band having as merchandise? For e.g. 2TM shoelaces or toilet seat covers: 2TM Blow up Dolls!!!!!!!!!!! I can see it now, or 2TM suicide tablets, don't know if the customers will come back and buy more thou HAHAHAH Why do you have a boner in your pics?: Cause I have to make up for what I don't have, actually It was the first time I wore boxers for ages, and my penis was wobbling around all free like, so yeh it was up for a stretch and add beer and whamo!!!! U have a boner!!!!. So there you have it folks Kristian from 2 Ton Monk! These guys are fuggin' awesome with really catchy songs... my faves? What goes around and Talk to Me! Keep an eye out for these lads they don't gig often so for now, go out and buy their EP and I'll try to keep you posted on thier upcoming shows!
