My Backyard Pond

The top pond is 11 feet by 16 feet. 2 feet deep with a three foot section. The water flows into a lower pond 16 X 8 feet. A 2500 gph pump and biofilter is keeping the water clear and suppling the waterfall. 3 koi, 9 goldfish, and a bunch of frogs call it home. I have one large painted turtle, and 2 babies that can survive under the ice all winter long.

The pond is 7 years old now. Still doing well. All the fish and turtles survive the winter..

We sit on the porch every morning and watch the fish swim and listen to the water fall. Very mezmorizing.

Cute little baby red-eared slider turtles.
The adult painted turtle is fun to feed and watch swim around with all the fish. She thinks the baby red-eared sliders are her babies.
The waterfall ran all winter under the ice and snow. All the fish and crawdads survived. The turtle stay under the ice too.
The water is clear so you can easily see the fish, frogs, snails etc.
Four feet deep, very clear.
Beautiful waterfall flowing into my pond
Keeping the water clear..
