All about Mia
This is a journal that I am keeping about Mia. I will update it from time to time letting you all know how she is doing.
Feb. 25, 2005
Well I took Mia to the doctors today to get her metabolic screening test done. She had to get her foot pricked to get her blood. That was a tramatic experience she cried, or should I say screamed the whole time. We also found out that she weighs 7 lbs. 5 oz. and it 19.5 inches. Yeah this made me very happy she has gained 2lbs. and 8 oz. since her visit two weeks ago. She is doing very well. She no longer is wearing preemie clothes. Its amazing how fast they grow.
Feb. 27, 2005
Well it took more than three weeks but Mia's umbilical cord finally fell off. It came off when I went to change her diaper at 5 a.m. This evening Mia, Tammy and I went and seen another movie. She is doing so well.

Mia had her first real bath in her bathtub today. She is fine with the bath until you go to wash her hair.

Today I was on the computer and Mia was crying so I picked her up and layed her on my lap on her back so I could finish what I was doing. Mia rolled over on her side and fell asleep. It was the cutest thing

Today we drove to Columbia, South Carolina to pick up my friend Crystal who is visiting from Wisconsin. It was a late night. Crystal is an honorary aunt. She was here to visit for the week.

Today Crystal, Mia and I leave Georgia and headed to Wisconsin. This was Mia's first airplane ride
March 27, 2005
Today was easter and Mia, Barbie and I went to church. Then my Aunt Caroline and my cousin Mary came over for Easter Lunch. Then in the Afternoon we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Holtz's house for dinner.

Today we had to leave Wisconsin and head back to Georgia. It was a sad day I didnt want to come back.

Today I went back to work and Mia had her first day at daycare. She was really good for them.
April 1, 2005
Today Mia had her 2month check up. Her doctor is Doctor Lanham. He was my doctor during the pregnancy. She weighed 8 lbs and 14 oz and she was 21.75 inches long. Wow she has grown so much since I brought her home from the hospital. She is finally fitting into 0-3 month clothes. She also had to get her shots today. She didnt like that very much.

Mia is 2 months old today and as a gift to mommy she slept through the night. However I still didnt get any sleep cause i kept checking on her.

Today I got a new car or should I say an SUV. I traded in my cavilear for a Ford Escape. It is so much easier with Mia.

Today was Mia's last day in Georgia, and a sad day it was. We didnt want to leave but it was time. We had to leave aunt tammy and pops(tammys dad) we also had to say goodbye to all of our friends in georgia, which we have made many. I am going to miss all the friends i made in the Sea Cadets. I hope that all of you go far in life.
Then it was time to leave we were on our way to the Atlanta airport to pick up Auntie Crystal who flew down to drive back up with us. And thus starts the adventure.

Still on the road towards Wisconsin so far we have been through Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and now we are in Indiana and ending in Madison, WI where Auntie Crystal lives. But before we got to madison we had to stop in Milwaukee to get Crystals car. Crystal went to class this evening so Mia and are going to go bumming around Madison until crystal gets back.
Memorial Day Weekend
We drove from Madison up to Rudolph so we could visit with Aunt Sherry, Uncle Bill and Lara. This was the first time they got to see mia. We had fun.

Mia is 4 months old. We are still in Wisconsin.

We finally arrived in Kansas. Right now we are in a hotel but I am looking for an apartment.

We finally moved into our apartment. We are living in a town called Manhattan. It is a really nice apartment.

Mia went for her 4 month well baby appointment. She had to get more shots and she did not like that at all. at her appointment she was 12lbs 4 oz and 23.5 inches.
July 3, 2005
Mia is 5 months old and she is finally fitting into 3-6 month clothes.
July 4, 2005
It is Mia's first fourth of July, and we went to the park for a picnic with some of the neighbors, then went swimming and then later that night we lit off fireworks.
Mia cried for the black cats they lit off but was very good for most of them.
July 7, 2005
Mia had to go to the doctor she got really sick at daycare. at her appointment she weighed 13 lbs. and they didnt take her height. They said she had a mild ear infection.
July 14, 2005
Mia had to go back to the doctors for her ear infection they changed her medicine and they said that the ear infection was in the opposite ear now and that it might be caused by a virus. She weighed 13 lbs 4 oz and was 24.5 inches.
Mia decieded to share her illness with mommy so i got sick as well it was not a pretty site.
