SAMPLE SCENARIO (Intervention Methodology)

The team is invited to Your Organization. It positions itself as a flexible intervention force that works in 3 phases.

Phase 1 Critical Intervention Diagnosis and Recommendation (.5-1 month)
Holistic approach and ability to address change management issues at the strategic level
Focus on increased profitability through people, change, and effective communication
Identifying or verifying the real issues involved - critical success factors
Suggesting the best course of action after analyzing several options.
Intervention can conclude with the phase 1; client receives a high value recommendation as a closure of the engagement.
Recommendation specifies required expertise, resources, tools, time frame, and approximate cost (most likely conditional and in range).  The client has an option to look for the expertise elsewhere or recruit the Core Team to find that expertise for them (focus of the phase 2&3).
Consulting work for the full fee (e.g.duration 1 month, 2-4 full time senior consultants, 60-120,000 GBP contract; or, alternatively, a minimum foot-into-the-door engagement 20-34,000 GBP: a 1-2 day workshop with the clients key management in it)

Phase 2 Change Implementation Program Design (1 month)
Focus on identifying resources critical to success: client, partner and associate networks, third parties selected by the client and/or recommended by the Core Team.
Closure: client reviews and approves Implementation Program. The program includes the Core Team suggested involvement in the implementation, estimate cost, and required time frame.
Scope of the project may include bringing in the third party providers, negotiating contracts with them, facilitating implementation (in phase 3).
Client can accept the plan and waive the assistance.
Core Team can waive its participation if it proves economically unfeasible or no appropriate resources are identified internally. In such case the High Impact Team focuses on identifying adequate client internal and/or best third party providers.
Already during this phase the Core Team can expand by the necessary expertise and potential Project Delivery Team members. However, the caution is advised in a build-up, since the engagement can terminate with this phase (e.g. duration 1 month, 2-4 Core Team consultants and 2-4 internal specialist consultants.

Phase 3 Program Implementation (1 month + whatever it takes)
Before starting that Phase 3, the client has agreed on the terms, scope, and financing (e.g. times and materials, monthly fee, revenue share, cost-savings share, a combination of the above).
Phase 3 consists of 2 parts: (1) Project Delivery Team fully takes over. Core Team phases out. (2) Project Team completes implementation.
This may become a long-term involvement and during the first month Core Team selects the project team, and/or coordinates setting client internal project teams, and/or coordinates third parties to deliver. Core Teams focus is smooth transition and putting a system in place.
Core Team phases out in a month or less and moves on to another assignment. Delivery Project Team completes the assignment.

Duration of particular phases and number of consultants involved may vary. The Core Team ideally consists of 2-4 senior consultants.
