Everything You Wanted To Know About Rob But Where Afraid To Ask

My Personal Statement
BIRTH:

I was Born on October 6th 1967 in a little town called Charlotte

in the great state of North Carolina. My parents have been married now 37 years and my younger sister who is 32 just got married last year. I am the only one left not married :-(

MY EDUCATION:

I attended Old Providence Elementary School 1-3, Myers Park Traditional School 4-6, Carmel Junior High School 7-9, And South Mecklenburg High School 10-12. I have finished my Bachlors of Arts in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in History at North Carolina State University. Now I am going for my Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling at San Diego State University

MY CAREER:

My first job was as a cashier/cook at Burger King in Charlotte. After college I worked at NCNB as a teller, Blazer Finance as a Loan Officer, and Little Dinos as an assistant manager. I then moved into retail working as a manager at Chess King, Sunglass Hut and County Seat. I also did time as a Manager at Burger King and Pizza Hut before becoming a Photo Lab Manager. Then I worked at IBM and Qualex as a phone technition. I am also editing the novel I wrote so someday I will be published and as a Full Time student now I am just working fun jobs to make ends meet :-)

MY LOVE LIFE:

It was during my time at State that I met Eddie. I was 20 and had only been out for 6 months. We met at a bar started dating and stayed together for 5 years. That was my first relationship.

After Eddie, I took a year off to get my head together. (big mistake) After waiting a year and getting really desperate; I dated a greedy doctor named Mark, a crack head named Kenny, a smooth talker named Steve. PLUS Three more I cant or won't/can't even name. All in one year!

Then I calmed down and tried to meet a better class of men. So I dated a nice but hopeless boy named Quentin, another nice but even more hopeless even younger boy named Kevin, a wonderful doctor from Spain named Javier, Peter he's a technical writer he drove me crazy we dated 6 months and only kissed and only at the end of a date. He has issues. Now we are just friends which is best for both of us (mostly me, he really needs a man). That was until I was 28. Of course there were lots of personal ad dates, a couple of one night stands, and Michael Steinman a fight attendent who I will always have a crush on.

More recently, as in the last 5 years, I dated Matt an activist with a love of argument and non-monogomy, Jim a witch, Scott a sweet man from VA Brian another VA man (that was two in a row). Tyson from Charleston, Bobbie from New York (He danced with Debbie Gibson) Dean From England, Jospeh from Utah/also Charlotte, Brock a NCState Boy, and Kimo a man with more issues than Time Magazine. Jeff was my first longish relationship after Eddie. We dated about a year. Jeff was all I wanted at least I thought at the time. The problem was my life was seriously changing due to my return to school my priorities were also changing and Im afraid my needs changed as well. But also our personalites mainly our senses of humor clashed and nothing can help when you think somethings funny and someone else doesn't :-)

After Jeff I decided to just date and try not to be so serious. I dated a series of men who I liked alot but they kept their distances; Rob Shawn Chris and Nathan. All had the same theme I liked them they weren't sure they liked me but dated me anyway. The only really great relationship to come out of this was Luke He is a dancer at Juliart in NYC he was in Durham for the summer and we had a great affair. We still keep in touch and I do love him so. But he was far so no long term there. I guess I asked for it by asking the Universe for casual realtionships. I'm so not good at them. After Luke I discovered I was going to grad school in CA so I knew I better not get involved so of course I met two great guys Israel and Scott. Israel I dated for about a month but he wanted more than I could give so we became friends. Scott I dated for four months. He was a great guy and I think we had the most honest relationship I have ever known. We are now friends as well.

Ok so now I am in San Diego and living the vida loca. Here I have dated two guys so far Nathan and Jose. Nathan I discussed above. Jose well thats another story. Jose was the first man I truly gave my heart to. I loved him with all my heart and soul and he took that love and beat it to death!!!!! Yes I am a bit bitter. We dated for three months and even though he said he loved me he just could not commit to me. He said he could see spending his life with me but he didn't feel I was enough to keep him from having other men. IE he had no passion for me just love.. LOL The truth is he had passion too and it scared him to death. SO he ended it with me to protect himself from true love. Typical damn LA boy.

Sidenote-- I can't wait to start writing self help for people in our community who think that the apex of life is looking good and fucking a different man every night. It is just so sad and loney not to mention unhealthy. Oh well I have to move on. I will find a guy who is like me I have faith. Together we will have the best lifelong love affair know to man!!!

Ok I have to say that I have learned in 37 years of life that Honesty and faith are two great principles to live by. I try now to always be very honest and have faith that things will work out as they should. Communication is the foundation of everything and honest communication is lifesaving. Jose did teach me however that sometimes too much communication too soon is baddddddddd. So everything in moderation eh? So now an update. Yet another CA man freaked out when I tried to get him to commit to a relationship. His name was Nick and he was a cute nerd who I thought was just great but in the end he wasn't ready and I scared him :-)

Ok BIG UPDATE

I met a guy before x-mas and we had a couple of dates. His name is Israel and he is from Mexico City. He is handsome and smart. We talked all during x-mas break and when I returned home we had several more dates before we decided we didn't want to be apart anymore. So now he is living with me. We found really cute rings and now I have everything I have wanted. A man that loves me and I love him back. Equals no wierd unevenness. This is heaven folks. Here is his website check him out.

Just Some Hamsters to break up the page

MY FRIENDS:

I have a well established friend group. There's Rob whom I've known since high school (17 years). He brought me out. There's Leslie and Dawn. I have known Dawn 14 years and Leslie 13 years. Then there's Carrie she worked for me at Burger King we've been friends for 10 years. My friend Todd, who I brought out, I've known him for about 10 years. He lives in Austin and is converting to Judism. Then we have Windy she has worked with me at several jobs and has been a friend for about 7 years. She's a wonderful woman who has served her country well entertaining the troops. :-)

There's Corey whom I've known for about 7 years. He is a Professor at Cal State Long Beach and is my inspiration.

There is Katie a whom I have known for 5 years and really needs to be a lesbian for her own good! My old roomate Susan has become one of my newest best friends. Now I am also lucky enough to add Scott, Israel, Nathan, and recently Yancey Corey's boyfriend and lifemate, and Kimme a great island girl from grad school.

I am close to all my friends and I try to see them or speak with them all once a week or more (or less depending). This keeps me really busy but trust me I still have room for a Loving Healthy Long Term Relationship with a wonderful man.

MY HOBBIES/INTERESTS:

I have alot of things which interest me and I actually do some of them! I listen to music (mostly pop and dance), watch alot of TV (sitcoms and sci fi), go for walks in Balboa Park, read, do tarot, astrology, aromatherapy, I collect trading cards (Star Trek, cartoons, coke), money from all over the world, and I paint and write. I have written a book. It's a Gay love story set in the time of magic about a race of people where everyone is gay. The two lovers end up having to fight a war to save there people for demons. Lots of love and romance. Right now it is in the editing phase. Which means it's sitting in a drawer waiting the proscribed ten years before I finish it :-). If I get my way, I want to make it into a movie and a comic book. So soon I may be a famous writer. Who knows. Oh yes and I also convert people to the dark side of the force just as a small side interest.

WHAT I BELIEVE:

I have many beliefs which would be considered New Age. But the cornerstones of my belief systems are reincarnation and self direction. Fundamentally I believe that you create your own reality (i.e. what you believe is true becomes true). So your life is your responsiblity. I believe we are guided by our higher self, which has an agenda it wants us to follow, so we/it can evolve. I believe in earth magic and in psychic powers. I believe there are people on other planets and in Bigfoot as well as Santa Claus and Fairies. I believe in God and that he is good and non-judging.

{Me and God have this deal I don't talk bad about him he doesn't smite me!}

Personally I believe psychic power and intuition come from your higher self, and so does the energy you need to manifest changes in your life. I try never to make moral judgements because other people choices are not my path but I do believe certain things "can be" bad for some people like certain drugs for instance because they block your energy and keep you from evolving. I'm not perfect!!! I drink very rarely and I don't smoke or do any drugs.

CURRENTLY

I am at School at SDSU getting my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am in my second year. I am seeing clients and hopefully becoming a better therapist every day!!!

Anyway thats it. More updates later.

xxoo Rob
