Vanguard attended the Great Canadian Robot Riots at the 2002 Hobby Show at the International Centre. Vanguard came out third place in the beetleweight category. Although it performed well Vanguard is now retired and no longer sees action. |

These are pictures at the 3/4 of the way done stage. Vanguard being in the beetleweight class at just under 3 lbs. It is powered by 4 mabuchi motors that can run at 6-12V DC. I chose a 7.2V Ni-Mh battery pack but I can also use a 9.6V battery pack both do just fine. |
