Fraiser- oh by the way, there is a new
land somewhere to the west.
English King- What happened to the old

people will be quite happy over there.
Leave everything to me. Now, shall we

colonization began. Who will be

(calmly)
Antonio- There is.
Spanish King- (slams down fist and
contuse to speak angrily)What,.. why,
How did they find out!?
Antonio- (scared) I...I..I..dont know... It
was you see.. I mean... well actually...
Spanish King-SILENCE!!!!!!!!!! (long
pause, extremely quiet)
Spanish King- (calmly, suppressing
anger) Now.. my dear friend Antonio, I
would hate to have to make decisions in
this state of mind, especially if it
regarded your health. Next time I call for
complete security I expect it! (very
calmly) But whats done it is done.
(smiles) Now, go tell the Viceroys to
tighten there grip on the colonies, we
cant have the English taking over, now
can we?
Antonio- No sir, Yes sir. (turns and
starts to walk away)
Spanish King- One more thing Antonio.
Antonio- Yes sir (stops but doesnt turn
around)
Spanish King- Triple the taxes and draft
10,000 more troops.
Antonio- (angry and confused) What! no
way! you cant possibly do that, Its
crazy, Theres NO WAY!
Spanish King- You will do as I say or
your head will be set on a pike in my
parlor.
Antonio- Yes sir (exits)
Antonio to Audience- Hes crazy with
power, he must be stooped all he cares
about is war. His son is a good man, and
will rule well. I regret what I am about to
do, but I have no choice.(exits off stage)
SCENE II
French King- Well Jean Luc, it seems
your bit of information has paid off very
well. The country (cough) is in better
shape (cough cough) than ever. (stands
up) In exchange for your loyalty I offer
you my daughters hand in marriage, she
has admired you for along time.
Jean Luc- (Smiling as she enters) Hello
my name is...
Magali- Jean Luc, I know. I am Magali.
French King- (happily) Very well. Jean
Luc, the Indians are becoming an ally, I
believe they will become good friends
and a helpful ally in the days to come.
Jean Luc- You dont mean...war do you?
French King- The English are trying to
steal our land. They will not allow us to
trap furs, I have no choice. I have already
gathered the troops. We will soon be at
war.
Jean Luc- I understand, Ill tell the
General.
French King- You do that. (exits)
Jean Luc- There will be dark days ahead
(pause) GENERAL LEO!
General Leo- (enters) Yes Sir?
Jean Luc- The English have been pushing
us too far. War is upon the dawn. We
have the Indians on our side, they should
help greatly against the British. (pause)
Rally the Troops!
General Leo- Yes sir. (salutes and exits)
Magali- My father hasnt much time left,
he will die without a son. You will be
king.
Jean Luc- I know (exits)
SCENE III
English King- Bring me my crackers.
Servant- yes sir (turns)
English Queen- Your fat enough as it is,
you dont need anymore of those
crackers.
English King- But they are so tasty!
English Queen- Doesnt matter. Drink
some water.
English King- (pouting) why dont YOU
drink some water.
English Queen- What was that?
English King- Nothing what?
Fraiser- (runs in) Sir the French are
taking over our land in the New World!
They are turning the native against us.
We must Declare war. (loudly)
English King- (stands up and paces) I
KNEW NIGEL HAD SOMETHING TO
DO WITH that. But there is just one
thing I dont understand...Where did the
French get those little boats to go inside
Mr. World. As for the native you go
whisper it quietly to them that they are
making fools out of themselves walking
around in circles and.....
English Queen- Fraiser, if we must
declare war we have no choice. As much
as I dont like it...Oh...All right send the
word, and dispatch the army. I trust you
can handle it?
Fraiser- Yes, your hyness (bows and
exits)
English King- (yells at Fraiser as he
leaves) Dont forget teas at four!
Narrator- And so the three nations
prepared for war. One with itself and two
with each other. Who will win? The
answers to this and more on the exciting
conclusion of The Race for
Colonization
ACT III
SCENE I
Spanish King- What is the word from the
colonies?
Antonio- (sadly) The colonies are doing
poorly. They are spread out to far, the
villagers need supplies and the people are
tired they can bar....
Spanish king- Shut up, I dont care how
the people are! I want to know about the
troops. How far are the English
advancing. We must protect our land at
all cost. Draft more men! Kill anyone
who opposes me!!!!
Antonio- Your rage has driven you
insane! Look at yourself you are filled
with hatred! Turn back from the break of
insanity!
Spanish King- Ill do no such thing!!!!
Buh wah ha ha! As for you Antonio I
have a special assignment for you.
Antonio- (with contempt)What?
Spanish King- My son doesnt seem to
share my views on rulership. I what you
to arrange a little accident that will
render him oh...shall we say dead. (turns
and walks away from Antonio, Antonio
stabs him in the back with a dagger. The
evil king falls to the ground)
Antonio- Your hatred will not infect
others. Im sorry I had no choice.
Spanish King- Antonio......how......could.........you?
Antonio- Your son will be a greater ruler
than you.(king dies)
(Antonio looks sad and leaves)
SCENE II
Jean Luc- The war has been lost, the
English have defeated us.
Magali- Oh-no what happened?
Jean Luc- There numbers were too great,
there was nothing we could do. So many
lives lost, if only I could.....
French King- (enters) Hello there my
son-in-law. Hows every little thing?
(coughs and falls down)
Magali- Father! (both JL and Magali
neels down quickly beside the king,
Magali holds his hand)
French King- Did we win?
Jean Luc- Yes, yes we did. (tearfully)
French King- Thank you, thank Jean
Luc, my trusty spyyyy.
Jean Luc- (angrily) We WILL have our
revenge, one day we WILL defeat the
English.
Magali- (sad) someday. Mabey.
SCENE III
Fraiser- We have finally won! The new
world is essentially ours!
English King- (angry) Only one! what
happened to the rest of them? Is that
thieving Nigel behind all of this?
Fraiser- Sir Ive been meaning to tell
you. Nigel has been dead for 17 years
next Thursday.
English King- Oh-no thats terrible I feel
so bad. He was always my favorite
advisor.
Fraiser- Nigel was a dog.
English King- I guess youre right,
(snaps his fingers) Now I remember him.
(pause) he bit me. Still got the scar,
would you care to see it?
Fraiser- (sarcastically) Quite all right.
English King- Very well (long pause)
WHERES MY CRACKERS?
English Queen- You never ordered any
crackers. And dont even think about it,
your to fat. Drink some water.
English King- (whispers CRACKERS
to his servant then nods. Servant exits.)
So, the war is over?
Fraiser- yes.
English King- Thats simply delightful!
We shall have to celebrate.
English Queen- What about a game of
cricket?
English King- Ahhh Good heavens no! I
always feel sorry for those poor bugs. I
know! (turns to Fraiser) Old chap, hows
the hunting?
Fraiser- Not bad, got me two stags last
week.
Narrator- And with those words our
story ends. Magali and Jean Luc ruled
justly for many years. The evil Kings son
was far wiser and greater than his father,
and under the advising of Antonio, they
made many treaties with the French. And
the British King finally got to lollygag in
the forest, for thier colonies were far
more successful do to the area in which
they landed, they were able to plant
crops and gathered wheat. However we
can still see a reminisce of all three of
these cultures even still today. And no
better way to witness that then right hear
in Louisiana.
