www.advfilms.com

The site for ADV films, in my opinion is well designed. All page elements are set to be centered according to the browser window. Once the browser gets any smaller than 800X600 the page will result in side scrolling, but this isn’t much of a problem since it’s very rare to see such a low screen resolution anyway.
The front page seems a little bit crowded with various information, but it’s nowhere near as bad as some of the other sites in this essay.
The text is used well, there isn’t much text, just what I want to read and what’s important. The text has not been set to a large font in order to fill screen space since this site clearly want’s to give the user as much as it can without wasting any screen space at all. This certainly isn’t a bad thing, I would estimate that about 80% of the page is filled with info, that’s 5% more than what was recommended at ("www.elated.com/tutorials/authoring/style/pro_websites") But I don’t think it’s a problem.

The images are used well, if a little confusing. There are many images on the first page which can result in the user getting distracted, but overall they are not much of a problem, images have not been stretched and are not oversized or too small. The spacing between page elements is perhaps a little too small, but it’s not something to get upset about since space is use well overall.
The ADV site is one of the better sites I have come across since it works well at both 800X600 and 1024X786 screen resolutions, it doesn’t feel like an empty site and just about gets away with not being an overcrowded site.
