In the year 3000, high above the stations of the alliance, a phenomenal event occurred that forever made humanity consider the course of their history...

WORLD OF ROBOTECH 3000

The Basics of Robotech 3000

Preface:
At this time, I have not done very much research regarding the topic/subject, and as a result, feel very ignorant as to its true and/or intended destination. However, I may be just like everyone else, as Robotech 3000 was cancelled very early in production, and Harmony Gold has declined to release full series details. These writings are more of my own personal imagination--taking one idea and reasoning it into reality, for better or for worse.

1.

Basic Idea:
Brent Hawkins is a loose cannon.

Expanded Ideas:
As a soldier, Brent Hawkins is an equivelant of The Sentinels' Jack Baker--one who is supremely skilled but more free-willed and rambunctious than his superiors would like. (Actually, now that it comes up, he's very close to Macross Plus' Isamu Alva Dyson.) In fact, the location given in the video gives the presentation of a science facility rather than a military base, and this "non-essential combat" position may be a direct result of his rambunctious streak.

2.

Basic Idea:
Suzy Kramer is an offworld-born science officer.

1) Science Officer: Preview Video; 2) Off-World Born: Press Releases.
Expanded Ideas:
From this, Kramer is a self-sufficient and confident young woman who knows what she's doing in the field--a Lisa Hayes with a microscope. However, her very personality is of uncertainty: She knows how to take charge, but prefers to be in an upper-level non-command position so that she may focus upon her work. Much of her personality arises out of a confusion regarding her humanity--Is she a second-rate human because she was not born on Earth? She fights the rumours in Dana Sterling style, and has proven herself to be an expert in biological studies.

3.

Basic Idea:
The galaxy now holds a chain of space stations.

Expanded Ideas:
Following the end of the third Robotech War, a number of causes led to the growth in space colonisation by Earthlings. The first was mankind's natural curiosity--to find and discover new things in a cosmos now explorable; The second was the high command's desire to find the lost SDF-3 and the remaining crew of the Robotech Expeditionary Force; the third was to connect cultures: Now that they original homeworld of the Zentraedi had been found, the reports from returning REF soldiers brought many Zentraedi to a need to visit the place--and it would be inhuman to prohibit this right, especially to those Zentraedi who had loyally served in the Robotech Forces; and fourth, of course, was to connect the separate facets of the Robotech Forces--those maintaining diplomatic and martial order in the Local System and those forces now re-established in the Solar System.
After the passing of the Exploratory Act of 2053, the Robotech Forces agreed to begin construction of space bases at a rate of at least one per five (5) Earth years. Over time, the bases would mature into settlements, and by the year 3000 (present day), the chain of stations for travellers and soldiers alike extends quite a distance.

4.

Basic Idea:
There is a beautiful, female Zentraedi ace pilot named Lorna.
Source:
Press releases.
Expanded Ideas:
She's beautiful, she's cunning, and she's dangerous--all of the things that make the female Zentraedi famous. However, her nature as a soldier is questionable--How did she learn how to fight? (NOTE: Preview video states that the galaxy has been at peace for quite some time.)--The only truth can be that she is a malcontent Zentraedi, and with her neo-Quadruun power armor, the battlefields of space and sky alike are her domains. Her attraction to Brent Hawkins grows from the first time she is defeated, in a passing melee--but make no mistakes, she is not like Miriya Sterling, as she is a modern Zentraedi who, unlike her 2009 counterparts, has known culture and emotion for her whole life.--Does that make her even more dangerous?--And when her Quadruun goes down, the protoculture inside trying to eat her alive, only Brent Hawkins can save her and pulls her out of the mecha as it plummets to the ground, setting the stage for her to realise that all people in the galaxy are in danger (as the whle fabric of society is based around protoculture). Her relationship to Brent is in direct conflict with that of Suzy Kramer--"Why would a human choose me, a Zentraedi, over his own kind, that weak, pretty human girl?" she asks herself--a sign of vulnerability?

5.

Basic Idea:
The galaxy is at peace.

Expanded Ideas:
Following the third Robotech War, the returning leaders of the REF fleet were forced to reform the then-feudal societies of Earth into an again-cohesive unit--and who wouldn't want such a plan? After all, with the Invid banished, humanity could once again revel in its freedom! With that, the people of Earth were ready to return to a way of life that was like the times before war. Meanwhile, the Local Group was still fighting to unify itself under a sincle flag that did not read "Invid"--the governing council would take quite a few years to achieve standing agreements and put aside racial egos for the good of it all, but eventually, matters would be settled. Robotech Forces would still occasionally encounter scatter groups of Zentraedi, and would unfortunately have to resort to force usually before receiving audiences for introduction to culture. However, eventually, these encounters would become less-and-less frequent, until wandering into obscure news.
