CHASING THE MECHANICAL FRONTIER

I don't like watching the news. Its so stupid. Science stuff, the president saying stuff, there's nothing fun to watch. But Mommy and Daddy like to turn-on the vid-reporter while we eat dinner, and they never let me watch cartoons at dinner. They make me watch the news, and it stinks.
But tonight, I saw the coolest thing! They found robots on a new planet! Not like mining battloids or Veritechs, but robots that live and breathe on their own! They don't even have pilots! They can just move on their own and do whatever they want, like drive around town and fly over the city and have fun! I wanna see one.
Daddy told me that these robots are important. He said that protoculture might stop being used because people have been getting hurt by battloids lately. I don't know, but the robots they showed on the vid were cool-looking. They even smiled and gave victory signs and hugged the soldiers who were there. That kind of robot wouldn't hurt us. I know 'cause there's nice robots and bad robots, and these robots are nice robots.
"TRANSFORMERS" they call them. The Access Net has a whole bunch of stuff on them, but I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. They're just like us, except they can change into cars and trucks and jets and ships. They're called Transformers because they can transform into other things, and their leader is called Optimus Prime. My friend Jaala sent me a video of him--he looks like a giant red and blue truck, but he talks and his voice is deeper than my dad's or even his Zentraedi friend.
Transformers are from Cybertron. People say its a lot like Haydon IV, except with a lot of colours. Everything is metal. I don't know what that's like, but going there sounds like a lot of fun. Mommy says though that we can't go there because the people say its too dangerous. But I wanna go!
I don't wanna fly a Veritech anymore. I decided I want to be a Transformers pilot! I can fly around and talk to him at the same time. We'll be best friends, and we can play games like hide-and-seek and Prabrah. Its okay if he doesn't know how. I can teach him when I go to Cybertron. We could do all kinds of stuff, and that'll make Jaala mad, but maybe she could play too with my new best friend.
