The wind blows and the lightning strikes and rain cries down upon my windows and all I feel is a sense of emptiness carved out like a stone broken down to sand by the ceasless rain.
your leaving me has done this has like the lightning flashed and taken away my dreams and the thunder still rolls in my soul and you are the sounds in my head all fading memories like distant thunder.
and once I thought I was to blame this world dry and cruel our love like a parched field of desprate people hoping for love to take them in its kind embrace like the parched land hopes for rain clouds to quech its ceaseless thirst.
but love did not grasp us in its kind embrace and now like the rain that has not fallen in ten years falls down hard upon this desert and wipes all that was in it away.
so to does my tears roll down the paine of the windows to my soul washing away all that was bitterness and sorrow in this thing we wanted to call love
so leave me with my the tears my pain and the rain...
