Haiku~
~The Planting~
Earth scents of nature,
Feeling the dirt between toes,
Paw Paw's garden lives.

(Inspiration: My daddy's garden)

~Eight Years Old~
Stealing marshmellows,
Summertime entertainment,
Suddenly, I'm caught!
(Inspiration: Getting caught stealing marshmellows from mom's cupboard on a dare from a friend)

~October~
Cool, breezy kisses
Upon the lawn of colored leaves,
Autumn is reborn.
(Inspiration: Autumn leaves)

~Glacial Gift~
Snow falling softly
Enveloping the land,
Winter's offering.
(Inspiration: snow)

~Trek~
Twigs break beneath steps
In tune to twittering birds,
A walk in the woods.
(Inspiration: hiking experience)

~Rainstorm~
Summer's clouds darken
To thunderous downpourings,
Then strikes the lightning.
(Inspiration: rain storm)

~Smoke~
Winter creeps in find-
ing plumes from chimneys;
Scent of burning wood.
(Inspiration: smell of a neighbor's burning firewood in the winter)
